PageFlips: For Remote World Work

EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED

There is nothing like a global pandemic to make you change the way you do…

…..well, pretty much everything.

The COVID-19 pandemic forced businesses and their teams into some tough choices faster than they were prepared for. Basically, everyone either had to adapt quickly…..or close the doors and go home.

Many of us were already working remotely, at least some of the time, but it was still a challenging and sometimes stressful shift for our businesses to make full transitions.

Our hearts broke for those without a solid contingency plan and some resourceful, adaptable teams who jumped in and figured out the new ways to navigate – and their closings now seem to be permanent.

We did our part.

Like everyone else, we stayed home and practiced social distancing and kept washing our hands. We spent our money with local businesses and tipped extra generously whenever we could and got entirely too friendly with delivery services.

It took them a WHOLE MONTH? Well, good for them.

We felt the need to do more, so…..

Through The FLIP Group, we offered paid training to Young Adults who needed to learn remote job skills. Through Couch & Russell Financial Group, we presented webinars to small businesses that walked them through getting approved for financial assistance programs. The last webinar on assistance programs I provided support for through QuickBooksยฎ Made Easyโ„ข for Nonprofits had more than 750 attendees, and more are still registering! As of this writing, I am still working with business owners to make sure they get full loan forgiveness and offering those services at a discount.

We know there is more we can do.….

There are still organizations and individuals struggling with smooth transitions to remote work. Even though this crazy time won’t last forever, research indicates we may never fully return to a brick-and-mortar only environment! So only the flexible, adapatable, resilient ones are going to survive – and too many still aren’t ready.

So we decided to offer interactive training on what kept US in business.

We tried to focus as much on transferrable skills and methodologies as we did on just specific tools, but we did our homework on those, too. If you prefer a different program (like Asana vs. Trello), that’s fine! Use whatever works best for you.

Just don’t keep waiting it out.
