Sure, you can buy TurboTax® yourself – but WHY?
What if you need help?
It’s true that not all programs are created equal. Even if you are a DIY-er who uses a program like TurboTax® at tax time, you probably already know that even with a ‘simple’ program, choosing the right version with all of the capabilities you need is important.
What about when you need help? Would it surprise you to know that not all professional service providers are created equal either, with equal capabilities? Probably not! The unfortunate fact is – you might have already run into this (which is probably why you’ve decided to do it yourself)…and there is nothing wrong with that.
However: if the thought of learning tax regulations and IRS rules and governance codes (which help you file properly and get every deduction you can!) makes your head hurt – that is what I am here for!
KNOW YOUR EXPERT
Hopefully, it wouldn’t surprise you very much to know that I am more than qualified as a Live Expert but choose not to work as one, so that I can focus solely on MY clients (which are individuals and sole proprietors).
To be totally honest, I don’t want to spend too much of my time learning ALL of the ever-changing tax laws, either – which is why I stay away from the more complicated business tax returns! I prefer to stay focused and knowledgeable in tax rules for MY clients, leaving the rest to other experts.
If you DO have a more complicated tax situation than I can capably, efficiently handle, I will be the first to say so (and then refer you to a more knowledgeable Tax Pro in my firm).
I have been preparing individual returns since 2006. Most people come to my house and get spoiled while they wait – but I am now offering new ways to work more by remote, since life gets busy! Availability is also limited, so scheduling an appointment early is recommended.
